S1 School Sports Team Taiwan Training Tour 2024

33 STCC students from our athletics, basketball and football team spent 4 days in Taiwan joining our very first oversea training after the covid pandemic. The tour aims to broaden students’ horizon and knowledge, to develop their particular sports skills as well as to strengthen their senses of national identification. 

 

STCC, New Taipei Senior High School, Taipei Wanfang High School and Taipei Municipal Dali High School gathered together and launched a three-day sports team exchange activities aim to enhance the connection between young people in the two places. We had training and friendly matches against each other.  We also got a chance to communicate with local students about their study and life style.

Apart from training, we do visit The University of Taipei to know more about their physical education development and facilities and some of the famous tourist attractions such as Dihua Old Street, Dadaocheng Wharf Container Market and Ximending Walking District, etc. 

 

This exchange with the Taiwanese team allowed our students to experience games with different opponents and different intensities, providing them with a growth opportunity that was different from daily training and enhancing their ability to withstand pressure.
