Guangzhou Study Tour

The PSH Department organized a two-day study trip sponsored by the Education Bureau in the period of 11 May to 12 May 2018. 38 S1-S4 students and 4 teachers explored late Qing history and Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary activities in Guangzhou. Students had the opportunity to visit different historical sites such as Humen Navy Battle Museum (虎門海戰博物館), colonial buildings on Shamian island (沙面建築群), the Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion (孫中山大元帥府紀念館), the Former Site of Whampoa Military Academy (黃埔軍校舊址紀念館), etc. This tour enabled students to establish ties with their country through the understanding of important historical events and figures in the modern history of China.
