STEAM Awards in Musical Instrument Design Competition (HKU & ATEC)

Five S.2 students have formed a team to participate in a STEAM Training and Competition jointly held by Faculty of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Arts and Technology Education Centre (ATEC).
They have designed and built their own musical instrument by using electronic circuits, programming, gesture recognition, woodworks, laser engraving, etc. They performed a short musical piece (arrangement by the team) by using their tailor made device with real instruments (Harp, Violin and Piano) and visual effects on the stage on 11-5-2019.
After the final exhibition, our team won three awards, including “My Favourite Musical Instrument Award”, “First Runner-up of Outstanding Performance Award” and “Overall Second Runner-up”.
