Eco visit to Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park

Date: 12/09/2017

32 students from 6 Hope who are taking Biology or Geography joined cross subject activity to visit Hoi Ha Wan Park. Students were divided into 6 groups to clean the beach and classify rubbish into different categories.
They observed how plastics negatively affect marine life.
Students also took glass bottomed boat trip to observe different types of corals. It is a good spot with rich biodiversity, more than 60 species of hard corals and 120 fish species in the area.
It is a fruitful activity for students to reflect how they can protect marine life by cleaning rubbish and eating less seafood. They learnt how to appreciate and treasure valuable marine resources.
